ISLAMABAD: The inauguration plate bearing the name of former law minister, Dr. Babar Awan was removed from outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC) bar room on Thursday, Express News reported.

The plate, which was placed when Awan inaugurated the café and library at Islamabad High Court during his reign as law minister, was taken down by the secretary of the IHC bar association.

The former law minister was prosecuted for contempt of court adjudication after he criticized an apex court verdict handed down on December 1, 2011, pertaining to the formation of a judicial commission to probe the Memogate scandal.
