Have been booked for the murder of a policeman in Lyari.
KARACHI:
The Friends of Lyari chairperson, Habib Jan Baloch, along with the outlawed Peoples Amn Committee’s (PAC) leadership have been booked for the murder of a policeman in Lyari.
FIR No 91/12 under sections 302/34, 365 and 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code and seven of the Anti-Terrorism Act was registered at the Kalri police station on behalf of ASI Ishtiaq.
According to SHO Safdar Mashwani, nine suspects were nominated in the FIR. They include Habib Jan Baloch and PAC leaders Uzair Baloch, Zafar Baloch, Omar Kutchi, Faheem Badshah, Adnan and Mushtaq.
They are accused of involvement in the abduction and murder of Constable Raj Mohammad on Monday. The constable had reportedly left the station in plainclothes to check deployments within Kalri police remits. Men in a double cabin vehicle and two motorcycles kidnapped him from Maripur road and later threw his body after shooting him in his head.
Mashwani said that the policeman was playing a vital role in Lyari against the PAC and other groups. He alleged that this was the reason why he was killed.
