Criminal: Man sets wife on fire
Samina, 21, was tortured by her husband some time back for giving birth to a second daughter.
ABBOTABAD:
A woman was burnt to death by her husband and in-laws in Baren Gali on Tuesday. The victim was mother of two girls aged three years and six months. The victim’s father, Abdul Qayyum said Samina, 21, was tortured by her husband some time back for giving birth to a second daughter. Samina came home to her parents, but when her husband, Hameed requested that she return with him, Qayyum agreed. On Tuesday, her husband, his mother, two sisters and a sister-in-law tied Samina to a rope bed and set her on fire. The police took the body to Benazir Shaheed Hospital Abbottabad where an autopsy was carried out. According to doctors, the victim was burnt beyond recognition. The police have registered a criminal case against Hameed and other accomplices.
