Gang rape allegations: Five accused of sexual assault, kidnap

She had been abducted on her way to her aunt’s house in Ahmedpur on March 18.

FAISALABAD: Chiniot City police have started searching for five accused in a gang rape case after the medical examination of a woman confirmed that she was sexually assaulted. SHO Naeed Murtaza said samples had been sent to a laboratory in Lahore for chemical examination. In her complaint, Saleema Bibi* had accused an Ahmedpur resident and his four accomplices of kidnapping her daughter Saima* and detaining and sexually assaulting her for 13 days. She said the girl was found lying unconscious near Ahmedpur canal on March 31. She had been abducted on her way to her aunt’s house in Ahmedpur on March 18.
