Pakistan's top tennis player Aisam ul Haq and his Indian partner Rohan Bopanna cruised into the quarter-finals of the doubles event of the Euro 450,000, Grand Prix King Hassan II ATP Championship, defeating local favourite pair, Rabie Chaki and Reda El Amrani 4-6, 6-2, 10-8 in Casablanca, Morocco today.
This is the most prestigious North African ATP Tennis Championship having a 25 years long history and Aisam has appeared for the first time in this tournament, said the information made available here.
Aisam and Bopanna won 67 out of 120 total points played, with the help of 6 aces in 1 hour and 12 minutes.
In the quarter final, the duo will face Peter Luczak of Australia and Simon Greul of Germany who had upset the fourth seeds earlier in the tournament.
