Water shortage: Farmers ask for immediate attention

Growers are facing huge losses as standing crops on thousands of acres are drying up.

Shortage of irrigation water in districts of Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Tharparker and Sanghar, has further depreciated while in many areas, including Jhudo, people are also facing scarcity of drinking water.


Due to the severe water shortage in the four districts, growers are facing huge losses as standing crops on thousands of acres are drying up. The affected farmers have demanded the government to improve the water situation on emergency basis so that they could save their crops.
