SUKKUR:

Federal ministers and parliamentarians excitedly moved from table to table tasting different vegetarian delicacies at Sadh Bello Temple on Wednesday afternoon. After a night full of fiery statements and meeting Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) jiyalas the leaders heaved a sigh of relief for being able to sit back and relax.

Every year a lunch is hosted by Federal Minister of Labour Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah for the leaders who visit Garhi Khuda Bukhsh for Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s death anniversary. Since the lunch is hosted at a temple where meat is forbidden, all the food is vegetarian.  There were dishes made from okra, tomatoes, egg plants, potatoes and others but Gol Gappas seemed to be the most popular.

While speaking at the occasion, Shah said that Lyari was not the only area where law enforcement agencies were carrying out operations.  He also said that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement was always blaming the government for the bad law and order situation.

While commenting on the hike in oil prices, Shah said that the government does not want to overburden its people but could do little when prices rise in the international market. He also predicted that these prices will increase even more.
