Memogate: You will find out the truth on Monday, says JKLF chief Yasin Malik

Malik arrives in Islamabad to answer allegations levelled by Mansoor Ijaz that the JKLF chief had met RAW chief.

ISLAMABAD:
After the Judicial Commission probing the Memogate granted his request, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Yasin Malik arrived in Islamabad on Saturday to clarify Mansoor Ijaz’s statements regarding him.

In response to Mansoor Ijaz’s allegations, that Malik had arranged his meeting with Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) chief, the JKLF chief had requested the Supreme Court on March 17 that he should be allowed to become a party before the commission. The Commission subsequently granted his request..

Talking to the media outside the Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA), Malik said that “people will learn the truth on Monday.”


“People want to listen to the truth, and I will inform them of the facts about the allegation which Mansoor has levelled against me” he added

Responding to a question, he said that JKLF is a responsible party and some forces wants to defame it.

Earlier during cross-examination before the commission, Ijaz, the whistleblower of the Memogate scandal, had stated that Malik, at the insistence of the US government, had met then chief of India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

Mushaal Malik on behalf of her husband, had filed an application last week stating that her husband wished to clarify allegations levelled against him by Mansoor Ijaz.
