LAHORE: A delegation of 200 lawyers of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) will leave for India on Wednesday (tomorrow) to interact with lawyers in Chandigarh and Delhi.
The delegation will cross Wagha Border on March 21 and travel to Chandigarh to attend a conference, Strengthening Administration of Justice and Upholding the Rule of Law, at the Chandigarh Bar Association. On March 23 a conference of lawyers from India and Pakistan will be inaugurated by Justice Altamash Kabir at Habitat Centre, Delhi, said a press release issued by the SCBA.
SCBA President Yasin Azad, former presidents Muneer A Malik, Asma Jahangir, Ali Ahmed Kurd and the former judge of the Balochistan High Court Tariq Mahmood will be amongst those attending the conference.
The lawyers are expected to interact with the legal fraternity of India in order to establish stronger links among the bar associations of both countries.
