Cricket: Dropped catch costs teen his life

A teenage Muslim boy died from injuries sustained when he was beaten up for dropping a catch during a cricket match earlier this month in Mumbai, according to a report in The Times of India. Saif Ali Shaikh, 16, joined some boys for a match outside the mosque after offering prayers on March 2 and was beaten by the angry group with bats after he dropped a catch. He received severe injuries to his legs, hands and shoulder and was admitted to the hospital, where he passed away this Sunday. The report added that the authorities have not yet charged anyone over the attack.
