Mehrangate: Altaf Hussain denies taking money from agencies
In a statement issued by the MQM, Hussain says that he had not taken any funds from the Inter-Services Intelligence agency (ISI), the Military Intelligence (MI) or any other agency. He states that if Yousuf Memon Advocate had taken money from former Mehran Bank chief Younis Habib, he should be held accountable so that the money belonging to the people of Pakistan can be returned.
The statement says that Colonel (retired) Akber had confirmed that Hussain had refused to accept any money from the agencies and Yousuf Memon had also denied giving any money to the MQM chief.
Despite the clarifications, Hussain further invited the Supreme Court to initiate any further investigation or inquiry from Colonel Akber or Yousuf Memon Advocate into the allegations, employing its own prerogative or discretion.
The Supreme Court is hearing a 20-year-old petition filed by air marshal Asghar Khan, in which he stated that the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) rigged the 1990 elections by handing out money to several politicians.
Former chief of Mehran Bank Younis Habib appeared before the Supreme Court and had admitted of handing out Rs140 million to various politicians.

Yes MQM did not take the Money from the agency , they took the money form innocent Pakistanis as bhata and other forms of extortion

And everyone blames the politicians again...but no one talks abt the fact that ISI threw away ppls money to these people! The concept of rigging was first time introduced by arm, back when Fatima Jinnah stood in elections to defeat her so that army may stay in power. ISI and Army instead of using that huge chunk of money they get for the countrys defence use it to promote rogue elements in our country.

In his first statement habib claimed that he sent Rs. 2 crore to altaf hussain through yousuf advocate. This was later denied on threats by MQM. Later Yusuf advocate claimed he never received any money from Habib. Now the problem is that Rs. 2 crore is unaccounted for in the name of Altaf Hussainand we know one thing for a fact, MQM doesn't ignore such instances of misplacement.
What is worse? Getting money from the Army or stealing from the Civilians?
It is hard to change the mindset of some people.MQM didnot take the money that is not the question ,the real issue should be Nawaz and Company grabbed the booty and are still scot free .Lets see how much fair the Judiciary rally is .

qaid e tehreek Altaf hussain Bhai may be right since all those people who lived in karachi through 1980s/90s know very well that money has never been a problem for MQM. They had so many ways of amassing money over night... innovative methods are still being employed
Shame on everybody for accusing the party of angels. This party has never been involved in corruption, extortion, target killing, land grabbing, kidnapping or murder etc. Nobody can ever prove that. The Qauid-e-Tehreek is in UK in the greater interest of the nation. We all need to understand that.
Altaaf Hussain and Ch Shujaat, Ch Pervez Elahi were the only two leaders who did not accepted the bribe money, all others are involved in this scandal
He took the money and now younis habib is trying to save him saying that advocate took the money.
