Biker, child among three die in road mishaps

KARACHI:

Road accidents in different areas of the metropolis claimed lives of three people including one child.

In a tragic mishap, a young motorcyclist was killed while his pillion rider sustained injuries when a trailer hit their two-wheeler in Malir City area. The victims were shifted to Jinnah Hospital where the deceased was identified as Mazhar, 22, and the injured was identified as Hameed Alam. Both victims were the residents of Quaidabad. Police, with the help of bystanders, arrested the trailer driver and took the vehicle into custody.

In Orangi Town, a pedestrian lost his life when an unidentified vehicle hit him.

The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where the deceased was identified as Noor-ul-Haq, 25.

In another incident, a child died in Defence Phase 4.

His body was transported to Jinnah Hospital where the deceased child was identified as 12-year-old Aran. He reportedly died after accidentally falling from his bicycle.
