Hearing: CCPO reinstates 40 officials

Those who were re-instated included two sub-inspectors, three assistant sub-inspectors.

LAHORE: The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Ahmad Raza Tahir, on Saturday re-instated 40 police officials after hearing their dismissal revision petitions at the Orderly Room. The petitions of another five were rejected. Those who were re-instated included two sub-inspectors, three assistant sub-inspectors, three head constables, 20 constables and 12 traffic wardens. Four constables and an assistant sub-inspector’s dismissal was upheld. Tahir also heard another 143 appeals, out of which those of 138 officials were accepted. Among there were 25 inspectors, seven sub-inspectors, five assistant sub-inspectors, 12 constables and 89 traffic wardens. The appeals of two traffic wardens, a sub-inspector, an assistant sub-inspector and a constable were rejected. Tahir said that Lahore Police had introduced an effective system of reward and punishment.
