DHA drama: Balochistan CM’s ‘sons’ beat up cops

Police had stopped the boys at 3:30 in the morning, that they were drunk, and messing with other people.

KARACHI:

Two policemen were injured by two men who identified themselves as Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani’s sons in DHA on Thursday night.

ASI Ghulam Hussain and Head Constable Amir stopped a car on the corner of Khayaban-e-Shaheen and Khayaban-e-Shamsheer. The young men in it told them that they were the sons of the Balochistan chief minister and they didn’t need to stop.

According to SHO Darakhshan Nasrullah Khan, there were around 20 other friends with them and they were all bothering young women and getting into fights on the street together.

This is why the police had tried to stop them. “It was 3:30am and the boys were drunk and messing with the people on the street,” he said. “When my officers stopped them, they started beating them.”

The policemen were not severely injured but had marks on their faces and hands.

No arrests have been made.
