Public health: Rotten eggs’ stock disposed of
The eggs were picked up from a farm in Rawalpindi.
MULTAN:
As many as 950 turtle eggs seized from a truck entering the city some days ago were disposed of on orders of Executive District Officer (Health) Dr Mukhtar Hussain on Thursday. Naeem Changezi, Chief Food Inspector, said that the laboratory report of the egg samples suggested that they were rotten and unfit for consumption. The men who had been caught told the police that the eggs were picked up from a farm in Rawalpindi. Investigation Officer Khalid Saeed said an FIR would be lodged once Health Department’s report was available.
