FAISALABAD: Dijkot police have registered a case against several police officials for assaulting a woman, stripping her and dragging in streets. The FIR mentioned Sub Inspector Muhammad Ramzan and Constables Manzoor, Ahmad Khan, Ayub, Babar, Murtaza, Ehsan and Sajjad.

It was registered on directives of a court in a complaint filed by Jamila, a resident of Chak 92, who had pleaded that the suspects allegedly broke into her house and dragged her in the street where they stripped her. She said the suspects were armed and that they had threatened to kill her if she took action against them.

Dijkot police said they would arrest the suspects after evidence was found against them in the matter. They said they had registered the FIR and started investigations.
