ISLAMABAD:

Wateen Telecom, a converged communications service provider, has said that it has been ranked number one wireless broadband service provider in the country.

In a survey for quality of service conducted by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Wateen was ranked first in overall standings for all wireless broadband operators in the country, says a press release. In order to safeguard consumer interests and growth of quality broadband services, the PTA carried out the second nationwide Broadband Quality of Service survey of all wireless and wireline service providers in the third and fourth quarter of 2011.

Wateen says the Abu Dhabi Group has continued to show confidence in the company and has provided cash support of over $57 million over the last one year.
