LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Nazeer Ahmed on Monday adjourned the Sapna Khan case hearing till February 3.

The petition seeks a copy of the First Information Report (FIR) filed against former chief minister Dost Muhammad Khosa and his cronies allegedly involved in the abduction and murder of Sapna.

During today’s hearing, a police official on behalf of SHO Race Course appeared before the court, with regards to a show cause notice issued to the SHO for not submitting detailed and para-wise comments as asked by court.

The police official implored the court that the SHO had submitted para-wise comments on January 16.

According to the official, it was stated in the para-wise comments that police have neither registered any case against Khosa nor sealed the FIR and that Race Course police Station was not the concerned police station as the petitioner had not approached it along with eyewitnesses.

The cases of both the parties involved are pending in the Lahore High Court.

According to earlier details, petitioner Misal Khan had contended in his petition that it was conveyed to him by police officials that an FIR had been registered but it was sealed for some reason. He implored the court that respondents listed, including CCPO Lahore, IG Punjab and SHO Race Course were under legal duty to facilitate the copy of the FIR to him as it was his legal right.

He had prayed the court to direct SHO Race Course to provide him with a copy of the FIR so that it could be made the part of record. He also prayed the court to direct SHO to register another case against former Chief Minister for producing forged documents before the court to establish that petitioner (Misal Khan) was not the actual father of Sapna Khan.
