Spring festival: Chinese CG greets Pakistanis

Zhang Jianxin, the consul general in Karachi, for the People’s Republic of China, has extended his office’s best wishes to all Pakistanis on the occasion of the Spring Festival, which falls on the first day of the lunar calendar on January 23. It is the most important and biggest festival in China because it heralds the beginning of spring. New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are celebrated as a family affair, a time of reunion and thanksgiving. Last year was of special significance for the China-Pakistan relationship, as it marked the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
