Top slot: KSE chief re-elected for second term

Members expressed hope that board, under his leadership, would work towards overall growth of capital markets.

KARACHI: The Board of Karachi Stock Exchange has re-elected Muneer Kamal as chairman for a second successive term on Thursday, says a statement released by the exchange. Board members in the first meeting of the newly constituted board for 2012 expressed hope that the board, under his leadership, would work towards the overall growth of capital markets. Kamal carries over 32 years of extensive experience in the banking and financial sector. Kamal has worked as CEO of Faysal Bank Limited and CEO of KASB Bank Limited during his career. Meanwhile, the KSE board on Thursday was also briefed by Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan Chairman Muhammad Ali on some key initiatives in process by the regulator.

KSE chief has been re-elected for the second term, but KESC chief will not be re-elected for the second term.
