Debt bondage: Court frees 82 peasants

HYDERABAD: In three separate petitions here on Monday, the Sindh High Court Hyderabad Circuit Bench freed as many as 82 peasants who were held in debt bondage.

The single bench comprising Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi freed 31 peasants from Umerkot in a petition filed by a man named Ghumro Kholi who was represented by advocate Bhagwandas.

In another petition by Manthar Bheel, represented by advocate Vishnudas, the high court freed 34 peasants from Gul Hassan Tunio village in Mirpurkhas.
