Tennis: Qamar wins opening Subhe Nau match

KARACHI: Davis Cupper Nomi Qamar kicked-off his campaign at the Subhe Nau Ranking Tennis event with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Malik Hamza. In another match, second-seed Vinod Das beat Khaleequl Zaman 6-3, 6-3. Meanwhile, in the women’s draw, top-seed Maheen Dada won her first match against Urooj Iltifat 6-2, 6-2. In the boys’ under-14 event, Marib Malik defeated Bilal Imran Loya 6-0, 6-0.
