Gang operation: Robbers break into THQ, kidnap doctor’s son

Hospital staff called Dr Tariq to the hospital and the bandits snatched the keys of his house at gunpoint.

Unidentified robbers broke into the THQ and abducted the son of a local doctor before looting his house.

According to police officials, six armed men stormed into the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital in Khurianwala and held the entire hospital staff hostage at gunpoint. They ordered the staff to call the concerned doctor saying it was an emergency. The hospital staff called Dr Tariq to the hospital and the bandits snatched the keys of his house at gunpoint. Later, the robbers went to the doctor’s house. abducted his six-year-old son before stealing Rs35,000 in cash, six tolas of gold, two guns and a mobile phone.


Rescue 15, Jaranwala Superintendent Police (SP) Imran Kishwar, Khurianwala District Superintendent Police (DSP) Malik Khalid and Khurianwala Station House Officer (SHO) Rana Atif rushed to the spot after they got to know about the incident.
