All in the family: 41 children of govt employees hired

Step was taken to ensure that the household incomes of the government employees were not compromised.

FAISALABAD:
The city district government (CDG) has provided jobs to 41 children of government employees who either died during service or were unable to continue their service.  According to CDG officials, the children were recruited in various departments under Article 17-A of the Local Ordinance. Out of the employed children, 30 were inducted into the Solid Waste Department, three in the Education Department and one each in the Health and Works and Services Department. Another four were appointed on new posts in the District Council. CDG officials said that the step was taken to ensure that the household incomes of the government employees were not compromised.
