MIRPUR: Investors from Cyprus are likely to invest in the lucrative agricultural sector in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, disclosed officials concerned with the matter. Initial plans include bringing barren tracts into cultivation through modern techniques, in conjunction with state programmes for the construction of mini-dams on rivers to prevent soil erosion. Extensive surveys will be undertaken in this regard once the state government gives its green light to the project. The sources also revealed that the state authorities are prioritising the introduction of a culture of hardworking in order to foster a self-reliant economy.
