Fatal accident: Factory worker killed in Hattar

Aurangzeb, 22, was working at a PaperMill when he accidently fell into a paper cutting machine and died on the spot.

HARIPUR: A young factory worker died in an accident in an industrial unit of Hattar Industrial Estate on Saturday evening. Police and factory sources said that Aurangzeb, 22, was working at Horizon Papers Mill when he accidently fell into a paper cutting machine and died on the spot. Owing to the lack of proper mechanism of occupational safety and health, fatal and non-fatal accidents are on the rise in the Hattar Industrial Zone where over 18,000 workers including 4,000 women are engaged in production process.
