Tragic Accident?: Woman found burnt inside house

Hospital's medico-legal section has sent samples from Anum's body for a chemical examination to find out why she died.

KARACHI: Anum Bibi, 31, was burned at her house in Sherpao Colony in Landhi on Saturday. The police said that her husband, Haider Zaman, informed them about the incident. Zaman told the police that when he entered the house he found his wife lying on the floor with burns. He came out crying for help and the neighbours helped him take her to Civil hospital.

Anum died during treatment. The medico-legal section did not declare the cause of death. They sent samples from her body for a chemical examination to find out why she died.

The police said that Zaman used to sell clothes. The couple was married around 13 years ago and didn’t have any children. According to the inquiry officer, SI Mohammad Sadaqat, they have not detained anyone yet from the families. He said that they examined their house as well.
