KARACHI:
A special package, apart from the monthly wages, is being introduced for firemen and other staff of the city’s fire department, said the administrator of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), Muhammad Hussain Syed, on Thursday. He said that the fire-risk allowance (overtime charges) of firemen had been pending for 90 days and will be paid this month. Syed said that the KMC was considering setting up more fire stations in the city. He also announced that the residences of the firemen will also be renovated.
