Gang Busters: Robber killed in armed encounter with cops
Police officials ordered the criminals to surrender but they opened fire at police.
FAISALABAD:
An alleged robber was killed in an encounter with police on Thursday. According to police, Rodala Road Police was acting on a tip-off and raided the house of accused robber Farooq alias ‘Farooqi’ in the Khay Da Tibba locality to arrest proclaimed offender Ali Sher Allo.
Police officials ordered the criminals to surrender but they opened fire at police which led to an exchange of fire and Farooq received serious bullet injuries. The accused was rushed to the DHQ hospital Faisalabad by his accomplices where he died. The raiding police team chased the accused to the DHQ hospital and arrested ‘Mansab’, while his accomplices fled the scene. Police claimed Farooq was injured by his own weapon and have arrested driver Razzaq.
