Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi issued the order on a petition filed by her father Sajjad Masih, seeking his daughter Mehwish's recovery.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) Umar Virk, appeared before the court on Monday with Mehwish and said that the girl was kidnapped from Lahore and taken to Karachi, where she was sold in Malir. He added that they had arrested the three kidnappers.
The girl told the court that she wanted to go with her mother.
Earlier Masih, a resident of Walton Road, submitted a petition stating that Mehwish was kidnapped two years back and that the local police was not serious in recovering her. He said they were delaying taking action in the case and had failed to recover her.
The father had prayed the court to direct the police to recover his daughter.
During the last hearing, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) concerned appeared before the court and submitted that they are trying to recover the girl but to no avail. The judge had warned him about possible action against him if the girl was not recovered by the next hearing.
The judge had also directed Virk to recover the girl and present her before the court.
