Online trolling: Imran Khan wants supporters to reply ‘intellectually’
In a video posted on PTI’s official YouTube account, Khan clarified that his party is only responsible for comments that are made by his official pages on Facebook and the rest that come with the PTI tag does not fall under his responsibility.
He said, “If any anchor, journalist or columnist talks against us, then we should criticise intellectually and not by using abusive words,” adding that the use of expletives only harms the image of the party.
“People should see that these are PTI supporters who deal intellectually.”

He should have given this statement right at start since the image of Tahreek e Insaaf has already been damaged by its star-struck online supporters IMO
Lately we have been waiting for such clarifications from Imran Khan,his advice for his fans was also long overdue,good job.

this step is appreciable because leaders must guide the workers and supporters. we have been suffering nowadays because of intellectual immaturity. PTI leaders should focus on inculcation and propagation of its policies rather than defamation of the leaders of other political parties. people already know them. strong text
@Aslam: Brother- i dont think there is any political party in pakistan or for the matter of fact - around the world that has supporters that dont swear or dont use profanity; this isnt exclusive only to PTI. It is frustration that is built up - yes correct it is not necessary to use such foul language we agree, but dont blame Imran Khan or PTI for the actions of a select number of people.
Every party has this issue from its supporters - but Imran Khan i think is one of the first if not the first and only to state in such a respectful manner that it is wrong.

@someone: Does not work like that. SHO is not directly answerable to a political party or MPA or MNA, but to the police hierarchy, which in this case is the DSP/SP. In your example the SHO will be beholden to the party who gets him elected. The police department is part of the provincial government and reports up through the bureaucracy, while the local representatives may belong to whichever party whether in government or not.

What intellect can his supporters have when he has only half-baked ideas and his actions don't match stated principles?!?!

Neither do the public servants accept any influence. Today we have the margin that if the police officer is honest he will not be influenced. After 'cut & paste election' that thing would also be lost. Elected police will do every thing to benefit their supporters as most of the elected people do in our part of the world.

how can the supporters of pti can respond to the criticisms, they themselves have no idea what does the party want and how they going to achieve it...? specially when pti keeps on compromising on their so-called principle stands which they boosted loudly in the past.

Please understand that ethics come from quality education, unfortunately most of the Pakistani youth is not given quality education which ca actually make them more tolerant, urge them to understand that this is not the way to get your anger out, so indeed this use of foul language is not good but PTI cannot be blamed for such a mess, as the political parties have never ever given Pakistani youth that quality education which can make them intellectually strong.
@Mangoman: Imagine if some radical person/group from Pakistan causes a bombing in London and the UK wages war on Pakistan due to that individual group and Afghanistan (who are our brothers in religion) support them and allow them to attack Pakistan through their bases. Would we not retaliate? We cannot reach the UK from here, but we can reach Afghanistan. Same is the case with the Taliban. The Taliban were our brothers until we screwed them in favour of US. They guarded our North West border from communist forces in the 70s and 80s.

good to see that from PTI chairman. i am NOT a supporter of PTI, but this step is re-markable. i have seen many if not all PTI supporters using dirty languages if you try to criticize any policy of PTI,
one thing that all PTI supporter have to understand, it's everyone right to critize anyone including imran khan for his certain policies that people may not agree. but that doesn't give any PTI supporter right to use the dirty lanaguage against these people.
but i hope now, PTI supporter will listen to their leader, but will they? i doubt.
