Dera Bugti unrest: Three killed in firing, landmine explosion

Incident took place in the Landi area where the assailants managed to flee.

Two brothers were gunned down by unidentified assailants, while another man died when a landmine exploded in Dera Bugti on Wednesday.


According to sources, the incident took place in the Landi area where the assailants managed to flee the crime scene immediately after the attack. The deceased were identified as Shamoon, and Ganga.

Law enforcement agencies rushed to the spot soon after the incident. The bodies were shifted to a nearby hospital for autopsy, and were later handed over to the relatives for burial.

A case was registered against the unidentified gunmen and investigation into the attack is underway.

In another incident the same day, a man was killed in a landmine explosion in the RD 238 area of Jaffarabad.

Sources said that a man identified as Aitabar Khan stepped on a landmine that had been planted by unidentified persons.

As a result, Khan died on the spot. The body was shifted to a nearby state-run hospital and was was handed over to his relatives for burial after fulfilling the legal formalities.

The administration is investigating the incident.
