PESHAWAR: Pakistani fighter jets attacked militant hideouts on Wednesday and killed 11 militants, while eight sustained injuries in the Mamuzai area of Upper Orakzai Agency.

According to details, security forces bombarded Sami Bazaar, Addukhel and Bodakhel areas with shelling and destroyed six militant hideouts.

Clashes between militants and security forces are on the rise, resulting in deaths on both sides, as military operations continue in the areas.

An operation was launched in Orakzai Agency in March last year and in Kurram this summer. Security forces also launched a massive crackdown against militants in Upper Orakzai Agency a few weeks ago to clear out remaining parts of the agency.

Security forces have increased their advances in the agencies over the past few days. Drastic security measures have been adopted in the region, with cell phone services suspended in the nearby district of Hangu and adjoining areas.

@Cautious: Thousands have been claimed to be killed without any change in the ground situation raises many doubts about figures released from time to time.

@Cautious: Did you count the presence of militants yourself? War against insurgents is conducted methodically by Pak army by sacrificing it's officers and jawans, unlike your NATO who bombs the entire area and claims 1000 taliban were killed.
