Celebratory Fire: Christian clash claims life
When another group tried to stop them from dancing both groups got into a fistfight and one group resorted to firing.
FAISALABAD:
A man was killed, while two other people sustained serious injuries when two Christian groups clashed during Christmas celebrations in the Sammundri police station precincts on Sunday evening. According to police officials, a group of Christian youth were dancing to a drum in Christian Colony Sammundri to celebrate Christmas. When another group tried to stop them from dancing both groups got into a fistfight and one group resorted to firing. A 70-year-old Gojra resident Salamat Masih received serious bullet injuries and died on the spot while Javaid Maseih and a passerby Habib were shifted to hospital in a critical condition. Police officials have registered a case.
