Pakistan Cricket Board announces team management for series against England

Series starts January 17. Pakistan will play 3 tests, 4 one-dayers and 3 Twenty20 matches against England.

LAHORE: With Mohsin Hasan Khan retained as the team coach, Pakistan Cricket Board announced the team management for the series against England on Tuesday.

The series starts from January 17 in Dubai. Pakistan will play three tests, four one-dayers and three Twenty20 matches against England in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, starting next month.

Naveed Akram Cheema has been selected as the team manager, while Ejaz Ahmed and Aaqib Javed have been given the duties of fielding coach and bowling coach, respectively.

The board selected Saboor Ahmed as the trainer and Faisal Hayat as the physiotherapist. Colonel (retd) Waseem Ahmed will be the team’s security manager as well as assistant manager and Umer Farooq will fulfill the duty of analyst.

Pakistan are playing the “home” series in the Gulf region due to security concerns in their own country.

Test series wins over Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have whetted Pakistan’s appetite for success and according to Khan, the team is capable of beating the world number one test side England next month.
