Three shot dead in Mastung

Balochistan Levies personnel say motive behind killings as yet unclear.

QUETTA: At least three people died on Thursday when armed men opened fire at a car in the Deringar area of Mastung.

According to officials from Balochistan Levies, the deceased died on the spot as unidentified men riding two motorcycles ambushed the car. Levies personnel rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area.

“The motive behind these killings is yet unclear but investigations have been launched,” a levies official said.

Two passers-by were also injured in the incident. The bodies and the injured were taken to Civil Hospital Mastung, where the deceased were identified as Master Noroz Bangulzai, Nasarul Din Raisani and 15-year-old Mohammad Umar.

Meanwhile, another man was shot dead by an unidentified attacker in Killi Jumma area of Dasht district in Mastung. The deceased was identified as Mehmood and the incident was said to be a case of an old enmity. A case has been registered against unidentified assailants and a probe has begun.
