Crime: Two commit suicide, one killed in road accident

Three people including a woman were killed in different incidents on Friday and Saturday.


The first incident was in Changi Bandi village, where a married woman, Sabreen, 21, committed suicide. According to her husband, Abdul Jabbar, she was hanging from the ceiling fan when he found her. He told the police that she committed suicide for reasons unknown.

However Aziz Muhammad, Sabreen’s father, rejected Jabbar’s version of events and termed it a murder. He lodged a complaint
with the police nominating Jabbar and his parents for killing his daughter.

In the second incident, Ghulam Murtaza, 23, hanged himself in Dalri village in the limits of Beer Union Council on Friday. The reason behind the suicide could not be ascertained. However, family sources said the deceased was depressed about being jobless for many months.

Pervaiz Khan, a resident of Panian, was run over by a recklessly driven car on GT Road. The motorcyclist was shifted to DHQ Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The car’s driver managed to flee.
