The home department has lifted the ban on pillion riding, also restored permission to carry licensed weapons.

The home department has lifted the ban on pillion riding and has also restored permission for people to carry licensed weapons.
Home Minister Manzoor Wassan said that he was aware of the inconvenience caused to people because of the ban, but it had to be imposed because of intelligence reports about possible terrorist attacks during Muharram.
He lauded the efforts of the Sindh police, rangers, scouts and volunteers. He also thanked religious parties and scholars for their cooperation.
