Regulator: Civil Aviation completes 29 years

Presently it's project Benazir International Airport Islamabad is expected to be operational at the end of 2013.

KARACHI: The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority has completed 29 years in the aviation industry, says a press release issued on Wednesday. The basic aim of its creation was to regulate civil aviation activities and develop an infrastructure for safe, adequate, economical and properly coordinated civil air transport service in the country. Presently its biggest project Islamabad International Airport namely Benazir International Airport Islamabad, is the first ever green field airport, is under construction and is expected to be operational at the end of 2013.
