DUSSELDORF:
Heavyweight Wladimir Klitschko has postponed his December 10 fight with Jean-Marc Mormeck due to injury. Klitschko, who was set to defend his world title against his French opponent, had a kidney stone removed during the weekend but earlier reports suggested that the fight was still on. However, the Ukrainian woke up yesterday experiencing pain, prompting the postponement. “Wladimir is sad and devastated [about the postponement] but he is feeling extreme pain,” said Klitschko’s manager. The bout is now expected to be rescheduled for early 2012.
