Crackdown: 53 faulty CNG kits removed

RTA Secretary Main Mohsin told the media that the crackdown was launched after several warnings.

FAISALABAD: Regional Transport Authority (RTA) on Saturday removed compressed natural gas cylinders of 53 vehicles during the first day of its crackdown on outdated and faulty CNG kits.  RTA Secretary Main Mohsin told the media that the crackdown was launched after several warnings. He said outdated kits did not only endanger the safety of passengers riding the vehicles but also of the passersby and passengers of other vehicles on the road.  He said people needed to get their CNG kits fixed in accordance with the standard set by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority.
