Golf: Lahore win Legends Golf Classic

Team Lahore dethroned defending champions Team Karachi by winning the Legends Golf Classic event with a margin of seven points. The event, which saw the 32-member teams contesting several hard-fought battles over a three-day period, concluded with Lahore boasting of a 35.5 aggregate compared to Karachi’s 28.5. Despite trailing by a five-point margin prior to the final round, Karachi players were optimistic about their chances with 32 singles matches to be played. However, classy shot-making from the Lahore team took the contest away from them. Amer Mehmood and Sameer Iftikhar were among the stand-out players for the victors.
