Editors, reporters, journalists and government public relations authorities would be able to interact through this portal.
The website also aims to be used as a directory for journalists, institutes for journalism, journalism unions including advertising agencies, the All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) and the All Pakistan Newspapers Editors Association.
Like other social media networks, Journalism.pk will allow users to make friends, check messages, create events, create blogs and forums along with the multimedia segment that will include radio player, pictures, video and chat.
Signing up at Journalism.pk also enables users to link with the government institutions and their spokespersons along with the journalism community.
The website also aims to make recruitments easy for employers by networking journalism students with the established journalism community.
The newly launched platform has attracted a little over 30 members so far, making its practical use limited at this stage.
