In a video address here on Tuesday, during which many Christian families along with bishops and pastors formally joined the APML, Musharraf said that during his regime he facilitated Christians with dual voting rights and empowered them to contest elections.
Musharraf felicitated the Christian families, Bishop Zafar Daniel, Pastor Liaqat Bhagat, Joseph, Manzoor Qadri and Anwer Javed on joining the APML.
The former president added that if the APML comes into power, it will give minorities the chance to progress and prosper.
APML Chief emphasised that the Muslim and Christian communities living in Pakistan have same constitutional rights and that the APML’s vision for minorities is similar to the one Muhammad Ali Jinnah had.
Musharraf claimed that in the next general election, the APML will sabotage the present status quo and will then get the masses out of the current crisis.
He also reiterated that he will return to Pakistan before March 23, 2012 and will fully participate in next general elections.

I like Musharraf (the ex-dictator) because a benevolent, patriotic dictator is better than a soul-selling, unconscientious so called democratically elected ruler. Theoratically, he should be have been the representative of the majority, but ironically he is voted into power by a small minority. The big majority either votes against him or sits silent on the sidelines frowning on the worthless choices of politicians to chose from!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
God willing, Musharaf will win next years elections.
Great Man . We salute you & Welcome you . Our Votes are waiting for YOU SIR .
We love Musharraf - the true leader.
@Azad: His take over was given full cover by a bench of the Supreme Court. A member of that bench was present CJ. Therefore you must reconsider your words on "death penalty"!
I can't believe people actually still support Musharraf - he is what put Pakistan downhill.. I mean he had some decent economic solutions but because of him we were dragged into the war on terror.
Dream on ....please dont come and limit yourself to facebook only as we do not need you in reality and changed ur party name from APML to APCL.
@Kramat: Ameen!!
@goggi: CJ is dealing with this matter.
Musarraff is going to land in Pakistan very soon , We know him as a man full of determinations . He still holds respect both in army and public , HE CAN YIELD A PAKISTAN HAVING RESPECT IN THE COMMUNITY OF NATIONS . He can restore the sovereignity of the country once again . I.K. can't take this challenge successfuly.
Politics in Pakistan witnout Musharraf is a big ZERO .
if ppl think imran khan can rally.. watch this guy when he lands... difference between his statements and imran khan is that musharraf has facts.. history and world bank figures.. which show how well pakistan prospered, where as imran khan can only make claims..common man under musharraf was far far far better than what it is today. i hope imran and musharraf merge. wud be the best thing for the country...
Pakistan first !

@I. Kamal: Salute Brother. Can't Agree More. You said it beautifully, what I and the millions more Feel.
@zaka: 100 % My Heart, you spoke Brother ...
Dr. Qureshi says that MUSHARRAF corrupted the politicians of Pakistan. Ha ha ha! Prior to Musharraf they were all innocent like new-born babies. Ha ha ha! He blames Musharraf for the NRO. It's nearly 2 yrs since the NRO was repealed. Has it made an iota of difference? And prior to Musharraf's time, when there was no NRO, did the plunderers and looters ever get punished?
Mushraff Sb please come quickly. I am jobless since 1979.
Dear General Musharraf - we miss you and owe an apololgy to you for being not able to give you the respect that you deserved as you have done so much for the country. One you speak the world listen to you. We have seen shamocracy, hypocracy, lootocracy, lotacracy, fraudocacy, mifiacracy.... all in the names of PMLN and PPP and else ......
Please come earlier than 23 March. We are counting everyday but 23 March looks to far. Pakistan first.
The Leader will return to save our country once more...
@hamza khan: Hopefully you will be waiting a long time for the likes of someone like Musharraf. Most Pakistanis blame Musharraf for all of our current problems. 9 years of his dictatorship was long enough. It's time for Musharraf to join Mubarak and other dictators. When a dictator like Musharraf talks about the political process, it really is a slap to the nation since he took over illegaly and showed no respect for the constitution.
What's the big deal? Soon he'll be in reach of the people who hate him, if he's insignificant he won't get anywhere in the election. But, one thing that can be said about him is he's probably the only person who makes Pakistan not look horrible when he talks. At most it comes off as differences of opinion between Pakistan and another country when he's involved. It's plainly a disaster when anyone else opens their mouth. You should at least give him that much credit. No, I'm not a supporter of his. There's really no loss to anyone but Pakistan if he disappears from the media right now and I think you guys could use a break from looking foolish. Let him give you one every now and then since nobody else is capable.
President Musharraf will be a great asset for the country after elected in elections. Most pakistanis respect and love you sir.
He started off with good intentions but he soon became victim of The Hubris Syndrome... and the in order to achieve absolute power first of all he corrupted the Political parties of the time in order to cling to power.. His final and most fatal blow to Pakistan was the treasonous NRO and imposition of state of emergency. He only survived on the back of US aid that was actually meant for the War on Terror and leasing Pakistan's bases to the US!!! He deceived both the US and the people of Pakistan... so he wrote in his memoirs. Pakistan is paying the price for all the wrongs that Musharraf did during the 10 years. If people miss him then it is only because PPP regime has been even worse.
@Mohammad Ali Siddiqui: Yes very true, somewhere something is badly burning !!!!!
@Ali Tanoli: He did not mention the homosexuals and neither the shemales.
Is he worthy enough to be given any media coverage?
1st come in pakistan then talk about minorities. "Empty vessel makes much noise"
Man from Mianwali can't do anything out of Punjab and NWFP. Jiye Musharraf
Mr Musharraf, there is another leader like you who lives in London and is a British citizen and also want to bring a change in Pakistan through phone and teleconferences. To bring change you have to be in Pakistan and not enjoying your self imposed exile in London and Washington. No matter how good you were, you a symbol of status quo and your biggest crime is NRO. The nation cant forget this.
Its a sorry sight to see a case of acute desperation. The poor man fails to comprehend that the problem lies within himself and always had.
@Mohammad Ali Siddiqui:
Mark my words: Fall of the man from Mianwali will be as quick and dramatic as is his rise.
President Musharraf, in other countries people who have reached to the top become mentors to upcoming leaders. In Pakistan they neither retire nor become mentors. I hope General Musharraf will become a pioneer by becoming a mentor rather than remain a power hungry politician.
I am against all military dictators including Mush. Having said that, he is differentiating himself from the other rightwing parties including PTI and PML-N by taking a clear stand for minority rights. On the other hand both PTI and PML-N are competing for the best friend of religious fanatics. Both are competing for the traitors of PPP and PML-Q. One fails to understand any differene between the policies of these two parties except personalities.
Great man.. looking forward to welcoming the great leader.. all the best.. :)
Nation is waiting for you Sir Musharraf, we want progress and you are the one who changed the fate of this country.
out of sight out of mind...
Please merge your whole party in PTI and bring revolution in Pakistan together with Imran Khan.
He has the vision and charisma to get Pakistan back on track. Is also recognized internationally being a member of the elite group of highest paid speakers in the world. His period saw improvement of the economy to a great extent. There was relative peace in the country and law and order situation was much better.
He forgot that he was in power for 10 years. One of the longest in Pakistani history, and what he did, sold us and pave the way for corrupts through NRO.
General Sahib:
There is no doubt that the political change in Pakistan is inevitable but you hve already played your innings.
I don’t think that you have political future to come through your own APML.
Can’t you see that the man from Mianwali is rising.
The supporters of Mush do not realize that he is more corrupt than others. He may not be corrupt for money but he is corrupt for power and is also very selfish. If you hear him, he always uses "I" and never "We". He treated Pakistan like his personal property. He wants to take credit for everything and any blame is always others if things go wrong. Under the deal with US and others he has been assured that he shall have a minimum income for his lifetime as he did not stash cash abroad for his rainy days. This is the reason he gets so many paid lecture opportunities and his book is promoted by reputed publishers. Anyone believing that he shared Kargil plan with Nawaz Sherif and that it was not Mush's own plan should evaluate if a person who uses "I" over 99% (in Mush's unique terminology, may be 200% or 1000%) can really be a team player. Same goes for Akbhar Bukhiti's execution. Yes, he is a patriot as he considers the whole country and everyone therein as his personal property. This may be the reason that he did not take cash abroad.
Talking about minority rights means talking about a secular Pakistan . I have seen the working of ex gen . in the past and found that no one can shake his determination . He also has a workable solution to the Kashmir issue . One can easily understand the repercussions of peace at the eastern border of Pakistan on terrorism, on the economy of Pakistan and stability in the country . As a head of state , Mush can mutate the present Pakistan becouse he will hit all those factors wbich has resulted the present days Pakistan .
Almost all problems Pakistan faces today were directly or inderctly caused by Musharraf in his reign in power.
Yes, we want the former President back.
Mushraf sahab which minorities Ahmedis, Hindus, Christians, Bohra, Agha khanis, APMSO or shias i dont which minority mushy talking about.
I hail to this leader... great Leader
Dead wood!
we will await you sir. president musharraf zindabad!
