A man was shot and injured over a petty issue in Qasimabad on Saturday.

Rehmat Khan told the Westridge police that he was on his way home when Ansar, Akhtar and two unidentified men stopped him and started quarrelling with him.

He felt he had resolved the issue and was about to leave on his bike, when Ansar allegedly opened fire at him, knocking him off the bike.

Akhtar and two accomplices then started beating him with sticks, he added.
