LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Tuesday granted bail for Rs50,000 to Mah Noor Malik, daughter of Ayesha Malik, in a kidnapping case. Malik, daughter of PML-Q leader Malik Ahad, and her 16-year-old daughter are accused of kidnapping a Filipino woman’s son. Malik says the charges are concocted and were made at the behest of the Punjab government, as she was secretly married to Hamza Shahbaz, the chief minister’s son. The Lahore High Court has already ordered inquiries against an anti-terrorism court judge and the police in connection with the arrest of Malik and her daughter. Another anti-terrorism court has also ordered action against Defence A police station officials accused of torturing the two in custody.
