Four killed, eight injured in cylinder blast in Khairpur

Gas leaked from CNG cylinder of a passenger van, setting it on fire.

Four people, including three women and a child, died when a passenger van's CNG cylinder blew up near Khairpur on Wednesday, reported Express 24/7. Eight passengers were also injured in the incident.

The van was en route to Ahmedpur with 20 passengers onboard.

Near Shah Hussain Bypass, gas leaked from the CNG cylinder, setting the van on fire followed by a blast.

Three women and a three-year-old child died on the spot, while the eight injured passengers were rushed to the Khairpur hospital.

Earlier, due to a leakage of LPG cylinder, a man was deprived of his house and valuables worth Rs2 million were burnt to ashes in Tanda Village on Sunday.

The fire, according to the owner, engulfed the entire house, injuring him and burning down all his belongings. His wife managed to escape unhurt.
