HYDERABAD:

A neuro-physician, Dr Syed Irfan Ali, highlighted the need for adopting effective strategies to counter the increasing number of migraine cases.

Migraines are usually aggravated by daily activities, such as climbing stairs and lead to nausea, vomiting, diarrohea and sensitivity to light. Dr Ali pointed out that a typical attack lasts between 4 to 72 hours. About 40 to 60 per cent of migraine attacks are preceded by symptoms such as sleepiness, irritability, fatigue and depression. There is no cure for migraines.
