PEPCO announced that one unit will cost Rs11.87 during peak hours while seven to eight rupees will be charged for the same unit during daytime.

The peak hours from March to May are from 6pm to 9pm, from June to August 7pm to 11pm, and September to November from 6pm to 10pm.

Syed A. Mateen | 13 years ago | Reply During the last two years all electricity meters were changed as the old meters were declared that they were slow. The new meters were much more faster in calculating consumption of electricity units and people got much higher inflated bills. This was not all. Electricity tariff has been revised upwards from time to time and the last enhancement was made with the begining of the new fiscal year. Now whatever was left with the electricity consumers will be taken away by PEPCO by installing new electricity meters. The employers instead of transferring salaries of the staff in the respective bank accounts of the employees should transfer salaries of the staff in PEPCO’s Bank Account. Whatever the few penny’s left after deducting from the monthly electricity bills, PEPCO will hand over the left over penny’s to the people to meet their end needs. Let the electricity companies should suck the last drop of the blood from the citizens veins and leave them alone to die. No stone should be left unturned to please the IMF and the World Bank, as they are the real future of Pakistan, and not the citizens.
