Partial Settlement: Lady health workers to be paid

Provincial health secretary, Rizwan Ahmed, said that lady health workers will receive a month’s salary next week.

KARACHI: The provincial health secretary, Rizwan Ahmed, said that the lady health workers across the province will receive a month’s salary next week, while the remaining three-month salary will be paid to them later. He was speaking at his office at the Sindh Secretariat on Thursday. While meeting with a six-member delegation of the Sindh Lady Health Supervisor’s Workers Employees Welfare Association, he said that it was impossible to keep a check on diseases like polio without the help of lady health workers. On the other hand, another faction of the aforementioned body continued to protest in various districts of Sindh and threatened to boycott the upcoming polio campaign if they did not receive their salaries.
